What a great addition to this new series. There are several authors who I read everything they write, and Ms. BJ Wane is one of them. She has a way of bringing life to her characters, emotions, and interactions while writing a mystery, suspense with romance. Add in dominant men, smart but feisty females, a touch of danger, a healthy dose of eroticism within a relationship, add in the spice of BDSM scenes, and you get a perfect blend within a story.The story begins in Houston, Texas, where Rose Flynn meets Constance Mayfield, the biological mother to Poppy—a child she gave up at birth. Poppy is now thirty-two and in remission from cancer, Hodgkin Lymphoma. The only real hope she has to stay in remission is a familial donor. Constance refuses to help or to give the name of the father and threatens them with a lawsuit. Poppy wants her parents to stop searching, knowing the cost is so high.Poppy is a highly educated woman, holding three degrees and two certifications. When Dakota finds his nemesis, will he allow his hatred and need for revenge to destroy him, his friendships, and a chance at happiness?“Sometimes you have to let the past go to see the future.” My girl BJ WAYNE has done it again with this book she has a way of bringing right into the story in this book we meet poppy and Dakota aka Master Dakota it starts out where poppy who is now cancer free but in order to stsy that way she needs Martin from a family member although her bio mom refuses to help and she does not know her real father or his name either poppy decides to give up on this quest and goes and takes a job in Idaho on a sheep farm while in town she runs into Dakota who has his own quest looking for the man who had killed his own mother 20 yrs earlier. Dakota is dom at the popular BDSM club spurs poppy on an invite decides to go to spurs to look into her own kink side she goes a 2nd tine where Master Dakota and her play Dakota says he doesn't do relationships but poppy brings out something else in him. I was given this an ARC so I'm not giving away more what I can promise you is that BJ WAYNE has rocked this book well worth reading and im dying to see more of these books come out from her!!!
